Counseling Services
If you’re looking for ongoing support, there are several counseling offices in Bozeman that offer both in-person and virtual options. These centers provide care for a wide range of needs from individual to family counseling services.
Focus: Emotional, behavioral, and relational concerns (e.g. Stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, relationships)
Providers: Usually licensed counselors, social workers, or psychologists.
Goal: Help clients process experiences, develop insight, learn coping strategies, and make behavioral changes.

Psychiatric Therapy
Psychiatric therapy is different than counseling because it is facilitated by medical doctors and practitioners who diagnose and treat mental health conditions.
Focus: Diagnosis and medical treatment of mental health conditions (e.g. Depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, ADHD).
Providers: Psychiatrists (medical doctors) or psychiatric nurse practitioners.
Approach: Medical model. Emphasis on brain chemistry, biological factors, and how these interact with emotions and behavior.
Goal: Stabilize and manage symptoms with medication.
